I’m Travis Cole and I lead the Infrastructure team at PlanetScale, helping to make MySQL scale horizontally for lots of big applications.

Previously, I worked at Confluent leading Cloud Infrastructure, at Segment leading the SRE team, and at Square leading Platform Engineering Infrastructure.

Elsewhere you might find me skiing, trail running, or maybe trying to thru-hike (or section hike) some of the (shorter) long distance trails such as the John Muir Trail and the Tahoe Rim Trail.
